I'm Carmel Mayer and welcome to my class website. On this site you will find career information, subject information, links and resources for students in Senior school at Cairns School of Distance Education.
About Cairns School of Distance Education.
Our school is based in Cairns, Far North Qld, and we cater for distance and home based enrolments from prep to Year 12. Our students are located in many and varied places throughout Australia and the world.....from remote cattle stations in Far North Qld, to students living on resort islands, students travelling around Australia and students located overseas. Our students complete their school work at home.
2009 VET Subjects
In 2009 I will be teaching:
- Certificate II in Workplace Practices
- Certificate II in Information Technology
Certificate II in Workplace Practices and Certificate I in Work Education are being offered for the first time next year and are core subjects for Year 10 students.
ICT Support
I provide ICT support and mentoring for Senior School teachers....you will find various ICT help tutorials on my new look blog site.
