The Home Tutor is an essential member of the Distance Education Learning Team. They work in parallel with students, teachers and specialist staff to optimise outcomes for their students.

Welcome to our new and existing home tutors,

This section of the website is designed to assist home tutors be as effective as possible in their challenging but rewarding role. Please familiarise yourself with the content and remember to log in with your child's EQ User Name and Password (RHS under calendar), in order to see information restricted soley to the CSDE school community, such as Staff Absent, On Air Timetable, Weekly Mailbag and Monthly Newsletters.

You can download a document that will help you keep track of all the numbers, passwords and email addresses you will need once you become a member of our school community. Click on The Important Stuff

Not only do students have their Student Gateway that takes them to the Learning Place's Blackboard (an EQ approved online learning tool), where their individual online courses lie. But Home Tutors have their own Space too where you'll find loads of useful information and a discussion board to chat amongst like minds.

To access the Home Tutor Space you will need to contact the school and ask them to pass on a request to the Learning Place. Once you have received confirmation from the Learning Place, you can log in by clicking this Blackboard Link.

Once you join our school, you will discover there is an inordinate amount of support for both your students and youself, in your important role as their 'teacher in the home'. Please read an introduction from one of your first ports of call, your Parent Liaison Officer, by clicking on An Introductory Letter.
