Parents and Citizens Association

The Cairns School of Distance Education Parents and Citizens Association aims to promote the interests of the school. The P&C provides a forum for all parents and interested community members to voice opinions on school related issues. Teleconference meetings are held on the second Monday of each month.

Each of the school districts has a representative whose role is to liase with families in their cluster.

School Biannual Forum

The School Biannual Forum takes place during May and December and is combined with Principal/Deputy Principal sessions at annual mini-schools. These meetings ensure that the school community is provided with a significant level of opportunity for participation and consultation on school related issues.

Isolated Children’s Parent’s Association

The Cairns Radio Branch of the ICPA was formed in 1975 and meets regularly via telephone. The group is a voluntary, non profit organisation.
