National eSmart Week
1-7 September 2019


A week dedicated to building an eSmart Australia


National eSmart Week 2019 will be held from the 1-7 September.

National eSmart Week is a week where communities come together to encourage everyone to be smart, safe and responsible when using digital technology. It creates awareness, solutions and ideas for community education on issues of cyber safety, bullying and wellbeing online, and offline.

National eSmart Week is an initiative developed by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, in partnership with the Telstra Foundation.

Cairns School of Distance Education is an eSmart School and is participating in eSmart Week. Get involved through one of the following activities and you could win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet:

  • Create a cybersafety poster
  • Design an eSmart Superhero
  • Draw an image of someone who spends too much time online
  • Create an animation or video to highlight ways to be eSmart

All student entries will be judged by the CSDE Student Leaders, with one entry winning a Samsung Galaxy tablet. All entries will be published on our Facebook page and website.

Send your completed projects to Leah Greenaway​ by Friday 13th September. 

Results will be announced on Wednesday 19th September.
