Private Ginger Mick at Gallipoli


​On April 17th and 18th, a performance of the play 'Private Ginger Mick at Gallipoli' will take place at the Cairns Civic Theatre. The play is a fun and touching adaptation of the much-loved CJ Dennis poems "The Moods of Ginger Mick".

The play has been written and produced by THEATREiNQ in Townsville and follows Ginger from his beginnings, making a living selling rabbits​​ and falling in love with Rose, to answering the call to arms in the Great War and being shipped off to Turkey.

The production is very generously being brought to Cairns by the Masonic Lodge in Gordonvale. The play take place on Friday April 17th at 11am and 7.30pm, and on Saturday 18th April at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketlink, on 1300 855 835. Adults are $35, Seniors $25 and Students $18.
