Itinerant lifestyle

A student has an itinerant lifestyle if the nature of the occupation in which the student or parent of the student is engaged requires a change in the student’s principal place of residence at least twice in the relevant school year and the person spends at least 120 school days of the relevant school year in Queensland. Examples of an occupation — carnival worker, contract harvester or shearer.

The purpose of the scheme is to provide the parent/carer with a cost effective alternative to purchasing the prescribed textbooks and/or resources elsewhere.

A parent/carer who chooses not to participate in the scheme is responsible for providing the student with all items that would otherwise be provided to the student by the scheme as detailed on the Year Level Requirements List and/or Subject Requirements List, to enable the student to engage with the curriculum.​

Same Day Notification

Education Queensland has introduced the Same Day Student Absence Notification Policy.

You need to know if your child hasn't engaged in lessons with our school, and we need to know when and why your child is absent.  This policy applies to our school.
