All full time home based students are allocated a Connect Teacher who contacts each student each week as part of the support we provide for Student Wellbeing. The Connect Teacher provides assistance to their students to not only get started on their learning journey at Cairns SDE, but provide ongoing support for them throughout the year.
A Home Tutor Orientation session was conducted on Monday 23 January, and a recording of this was sent out to all families. If you haven't received this please get in touch with Clare, your Parent Liaison Officer – PLO@cairnssde.eq.edu.au for a copy.
Continuing students should have had Connect Teacher contact to provide assistance with password resets, timetable queries, and other access questions.
QLearn is the new dashboard through which online lessons are delivered. Continuing students can use the same log in/password and new students will be provided with log ins/passwords from their Connect Teacher.

To support the learning journey with your child/student we also conduct Home Tutor Connect Sessions twice per term on Thursdays in Week 3 and 7. During these online session we discuss upcoming school events and requirements and share ideas, it's an opportunity to connect with other Home Tutors, seek support and ask questions.
